Lunar Eclipse in Virgo ♍️ Trust the Process
Perfection is so overrated.
Check-in time: February’s astrology was a LOT. How’s this eclipse season x Mercury retrograde combo landing for you?
The cosmic chaos continues with this week’s Lunar Eclipse in Virgo (12°), exact at 6:37am ET on Tuesday, March 3. Unlike last month’s eclipse, this lunation involves a familiar storyline, one that’s been unfolding since September 2024.
A story-in-progress
Eclipses loosely follow the path of the lunar nodes. For nearly two years, they’ve pinged the Virgo/Pisces axis in your birth chart, accelerating change in the areas of your life these houses represent.
Course correction is a big theme with eclipses. Wherever they land, chapters in our lives begin and end, sometimes abruptly or before we feel ready. They also emphasize the push-pull between the sign pairing of the transiting North and South Nodes — in this case, a need to balance rigid structure and over-preparedness (South Node in Virgo) with intuitive flow (North Node in Pisces).
Think back to September 2025, when we had our last eclipse in Virgo. What was going on in your life? Did you experience any big mindset shifts or new beginnings? That story resumes now.
What you can expect
Ruled by Mercury retrograde in Pisces, this week’s Lunar Eclipse will open the floodgates for emotional processing and catharsis. It’s occurring near the South Node, a point associated with release and surrender. Breakthroughs are possible. Waterworks are highly likely.
Depending on how it’s hitting for you — for instance, if it falls in close proximity to one of your personal planets, or you’re in a Cancer or Virgo profection year — this eclipse could bring about a significant ending in your life. For everyone, it will highlight changes that are well underway in the Virgo/Pisces parts of your chart.
With the South Node in Virgo, the message is clear: Perfection is so overrated. What triggers your self-critical streak? When are you prone to overthinking, overworking, or grasping for control? What would it look like to break that cycle? This is a great moment to reflect on how over-optimization might be blocking your creative flow or getting in the way of your happiness.

Taking a closer look at the Virgo house in your chart. What real-life topics does that house represent? How have those areas of your life evolved over the past six months? Is there anything you need to process or walk away from?
Keeping your schedule nice and light. Eclipse season is an infamously hectic time of year. Plot twists pop up; time feels like it’s moving at 2x speed. We’ll be in this cosmic pressure cooker until mid-March. The kindest thing you can do for yourself right now is to take it easy. (For what it’s worth: Virgo rules the digestive system. If you have a sensitive stomach, this is a good moment to prioritize easy-to-digest foods.)
